Operations Coordinator – Innisfail or Tully - Tully

About This Opportunity

Blenners Transport is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Coordinator to join our growing team, based at either our Tully or Innisfail depot. This is a “floating” full-time role working up to 50 hours per week.

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across Blenners Transport North Queensland Depots, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient receiving and dispatch of freight. You will support and direct team members while working within Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and maintaining high standards across compliance, safety, and customer service.

You will collaborate closely with internal departments, operational teams, and customers to ensure a smooth and high-performing operation at all times.

Position Requirements

• Sound and extensive experience in transport operations, including load planning and BFM.
• Previous refrigerated transport experience would be an advantage,
• Strong knowledge of compliance and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Proficiency in a range of computer-based systems and programs.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage local PUD operations across North Queensland Depots in a floating/relieving role,
• Liaise with drivers and subcontractors to ensure fitness for duty and compliance with legal driving hours.
• Ensure adherence to BFM and all compliance requirements at all times.
• Coordinate and book transport loads efficiently.
• Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and promptly.
• Oversee truck departures to ensure safe, timely loading and full load compliance.
• Ensure freight is dispatched correctly according to temperature, road, or rail requirements.
• Confirm all drivers and subcontractors meet both legal and delivery obligations.
