Blenners Transport is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – Night Shift (2pm to midnight) to join our workshop team at the Brisbane depot. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Position Requirements

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience working in Road Transport highly regarded
• Knowledge of (Kenworth & Isuzu Trucks, and Cummins Power Plants), (BPW, Meritor and Hendrickson Suspension Systems), Eaton Driveline Components, (ThermoKing & Carrier Fridge Units), and truck air conditioner repairs & servicing.
• Manual Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC highly regarded)
• Forklift Licence (LF) highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
• Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities 

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Maintain and repair suspension, steering, and braking systems
• Perform welding, fabrication, and HVAC system repairs
• Use diagnostic instruments and workshop equipment
• Mentor apprentices and participate in training sessions
• Ensure compliance with WHS, CoR, and internal policies
• Maintain accurate documentation and a clean workshop environment
