Blenners Transport is seeking a Full-time Payroll Specialist to join our finance team at the Tully depot. This role manages end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional support for staff in a fast-paced transport environment.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate or above Microsoft excel skills (must include formulas and report formatting).
• Modern award knowledge will be highly regarded.
• Micropay Payroll System and high-volume payroll experience will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities 

• End to end processing of weekly payroll.
• Updating and maintaining payroll records.
• Liaising with staff on payroll related queries.
• Prepare and review daily payroll reports.
• Review, edit and import face scanner timesheets into Meridian.
• Prepare and lodge various reports according to accounting and legislative requirements.
• Calculate and process payroll adjustments, terminations and complete ad-hoc payments.
• Interpret employment contracts, policies, awards and relevant Fair Work provisions.
• Ensure employee records such as deductions, leave entitlements, severance are kept accurate and up to date.
