Blenners Transport is seeking an experienced full time Junior Accountant based at our Head Office at Tully Nth QLD. The role will suit newly qualified applicants or those currently working towards their qualifications who are seeking all round financial exposure and experience.
Position Requirements
- Degree-qualified Accountant or currently working toward qualification
- Experience with MYOB, Word and Excel
- Strong IT skills: ERP software knowledge preferred but not essential
- Understanding of internal control procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must be eligible to live and work in Australia

Role Requirements
- Prepare and post payroll journals into MYOB daily
- Weekly payroll reconciliation and calculation of weekly PAYGW liability
- Monthly reconciliation of child support, superannuation, and payroll tax liabilities
- Download and review fuel data, check pricing and reconcile invoice payments
- Calculate monthly diesel fuel rebate
- Daily processing of bank statement transactions for all entities
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post monthly depreciation calculations
- Review and manage credit card reconciliations
- Review and manage fuel invoices
- Complete and submit credit applications
- Process end-of-month statements
- Assist and learn other roles within the Finance Department as required
- Support the Group Accountant where needed
