Freight and
Logistic Specialists - Rail and Road
In 1988 after a number of years Banana Farming Les and Judy
Blennerhassett diversified into Refrigerated Road Transport. This
allowed them to transport their own produce to market.
This growth rapidly increased, as did the amount of produce Blenners
carried for other farmers. Steadily the fleet of trucks grew until it
has reached the present size, which consists of 70 line haul trucks and
20 rail containers.
Our trucks supply fresh produce from North Queensland to Melbourne,
Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, with return loads to Brisbane or
North Queensland. We are the major carrier for the Fruit and Vegetable
Wholesalers in Townsville and Cairns.
Blenners Transport
operates from our Head Office in Tully, with depots in Brisbane,
Innisfail Townsville, Mareeba, Cairns and Mackay.
The Brisbane depot loads on average 85 trucks a week, consisting of
freezer, chiller produce and dry freight to Mackay, Townsville and
Cairns.
Our Company insists
upon and maintains a very high standard of equipment and experienced
staff. We are members of ‘Trucksafe’ ensuring greater safety on the
roads and are currently QMS HACCP-FSS accredited for the Safety and
Quality of transported food products. We are also accredited for Mass
Management and are constantly updating policies and procedures to
maintain our high standard of service that we offer.
All Blenners
vehicles are satellite tracked.
